Excellent! I’m so glad that I checked it out despite my fear of the subject matter. But though it starts out with the focus on abuse and it serves as the catalyst for what happens, it really is kept in the background – never forgotten but certainly not front and centre either.

What was amazing in this drama was the way they explored every aspect of what it truly means to be a mother and for that matter what it means to be a daughter as well. The different relationships were so realistic and so human, so heartwrenching… I adored the every scene between mother and child – every one so nuanced… I’m not surprised that it’s already winning awards!
