Sad to hear this…

Micky Yoochun was arrested on charges of buying and using illegal drugs. I knew the allegations were out there, but now that he was actually arrested over destruction of evidence, being a possible flight risk and dropped by his management company, I can only hope that he has a good lawyer. I’m not judging cause I know what drugs can do, but his career is sadly over, at least for now. Hopefully Korea loves a good “comeback” story as much as America does…

He actually went in and submitted for testing (having first removed most of his body hair) in order to prove his innocence, only to have had a positive reading for meth from his leg hair. I think he must have been in complete denial (or was drug addled to think this was a good plan of action). I can’t blame his agency for dropping him; he’s apparently made nothing but bad choices the past few years and has clearly been hanging out with a bad crowd. Talk about wasting your gifts! There will likely be no moral rehabilitation for him with these events piling one bad thing upon another, just as with Seungri and his alleged* steaming pile of sh#tty actions/involvements.

This is all difficult for people who have enjoyed the works of these misguided individuals; it does taint the appreciation I have had for the work Park Yoo-chun has done in the past.

*Hard to say innocent until proven guilty with all that’s come to light. In some cases we’ve discussed (Park Shi-hoo, for example) where the evidence was conflicting or inconclusive, it’s possible to allow for maturation and repentance enough to allow someone to prove they’ve changed and move on, but this all is pretty hard to take.

  I have to agree that, given the facts, it is pretty hard to take and root for him at the same time. Drugs are an insidious evil though, making most addicts do what they normally wouldn’t. But there’s also a lot of help out there—— a choice he obviously didn’t make. Yes, what a waste of his gift!

I’ve been feeling really sad (and angry) at all that has been going on lately in k-entertainment. I mean..when Park Shi hoo got into trouble I felt it unforgiveable that he would take advantage of a clearly drunken girl who didn’t even know what the heck was going on..it’s just not the decent thing to do..but maybe he himself was drunk and after all he did confess to it so ..while I have no interest in watching him again..I was happy that he got his second chance.

Unfortunately Park Yoo Chun is really in heaps of trouble here..that career that he created for himself is gone..his life forever changed because of the bad choices he made..clearly the first choosing the drugs in the first place..which probably led to his questionable actions. I’m sad for him that he threw it all away..I’m angry that he threw it all away but at the end of the day he hurt only himself so I wish him well.

But..what can we say about Seungri, Jung Joon-young, Roy Kim and their cronies in the chatrooms? These people are in a category of their own and I hope that they put them in jail and throw away the key!! If they were characters in a Kdrama I would write about the total rot found behind those angelic faces. Truly evil can be well hidden and these guys are a perfect example. For them to strip humanity from their victims and turn them into objects..laugh about drugging and raping them and sharing the crimes to humiliate them even more is beyond comprehesion. These are not cases of someone making bad choices as in the two examples above..these are criminals who knew that they were doing wrong but were enjoying themselves so much that they didn’t care! Judging from their actions they do not feel an ounce of remorse and all we can expect is that one day they will realize what they threw away..that will probably result in their suffering…but I know that they won’t spare a thought as to what they did to those poor women and what they have subsequently endured! And..I feel so sad for their families who must be suffering..

  Sad state of affairs indeed. Do they just not care, or think that they’re untouchable? That’s unbelievable given how Korea feels about, and handles scandals. I really have to wonder if the “Star” factor is what made them take such horrible liberties? If they were regular people would they have even thought to do such things? My guess is they would not and would be among the outraged fans…….

so many factors involved..I suppose fame and star power can definitely go to someone’s head and make them feel invincible or entitled (especially if they surround themselves by enablers or like minded people).. of course people flock to celebrities..no surprise there..I just think it’s the criminal aspect that they took it to that is horrifying. But I do remind myself that there are alot of stars out there who are decent and just want to do their best..perhaps they are surrounded by a better support system or perhaps they are just made of stronger stuff? Who knows…..
