Aaahh…. so nice to sit back and enjoy. I’ve seen the first four episodes and have absolutely enjoyed them. This guy… well, what can you say? He’s got such great presence on screen and he’s gifted us with at least TWO shower scenes so far! LOL, I love watching him preen at his own image in the mirror and smile so smugly when he thinks people are reacting to his perfection. I mean really, what’s not to love? Great chemistry with his co-star – this girl has been very lucky so far, starring with a few hunks along the way. I’m still jealous that she got my Healer (hehe) but they play really well off each other and that’s what counts.
As you probably know the plot revolves around their relationship (past and present). She has been his PERFECT secretary for nine years, is a combination of a secretary, valet, butler, social partner at events – you name it – she’s there for him. The poor girl barely sleeps and now she’s decided that she wants a normal life before she gets too much older. Well, can you imagine his shock and dismay! But being the creative genius that he is he implements Plan A to try to change her mind. You can imagine what happens next! But I love those moments of awakening when both of them suddenly see something with different eyes. I love the awkwardness that has crept into their relationship – granted after four episodes I find I can predict the moments to come and my one quibble is that it’s maybe happening too fast? I mean to go from 9 years of this type of relationship to the human one in just a few days seems to be a bit of a rush. I would have preferred if they had taken a bit more time with the growth of the new relationship because as you know for me it’s all about the journey. I never want them to get there too fast.
No doubt there will be mishaps and misunderstandings along the way and we will probably discover that the feelings were there all along, only unrecognized, OF COURSE!!! But still with 12 more episodes to go please take your time… Meanwhile I’ll look forward to more shower scenes and sweet indulgent smiles.
Viki is now carrying season 2 of Youn’s Kitchen, the reality show where Yoon Yeo-jung, Lee Seo-jin, and Jung Yu-mi travel to an exotic location to bring a simple Korean restaurant to an unusual location. This season their maknae is Park Seo-joon 😘 and they are set up on a small coastal town of five thousand on Tenerife (Ola!)
I’ve watched 2 of the 3 available episodes and enjoyed it greatly. Two standout moments? Watching Lee Seo-jin get busted for a misdeed and laughing really hard as Yu-mi and Seo-joon tease him for it is one. The other is watching a Russian woman dining with a male companion and talking (in Russian, perhaps not knowing they’d be translated and subbed later even though there is a notice that they’re filming a TV show) about how handsome Sawesome is. Her companion points out Seo-joon standing behind her as another good looking Korean man and when he walks up to deliver their wine she proceeds to have a Joon Swoon too!
The scenery of the town — Garachico — makes a trip to Tenerife sound very attractive too!
Well that was a lovely ride indeed – I enjoyed it very much (just as I knew I would), and if I wasn’t already a fan of that young man, well then, I’m hooked and hooked and hooked! I just love this guy and his way of showing his feelings… and those kisses… Hehehe… awesome! So natural and so real and totally irresistible! Spoilers after the jump.
Someone is going to get bumped. I’m not sure who it will be, but Park Seo-joon is taking his spot. There is just something so manly and pure (yet inspiring somewhat impure thoughts) about him.
I just indulged myself in a little daytime movie going to see him with some other guy* (yeah, I think there was another guy) in the buddy junior cops in training movie Midnight Runners.
It’s all Park Seo-joon-swoon time for me – though the movie was very entertaining.
Oh yeah, that other guy* was Kang Ha-neul, who I know has many fans, but you know where my eyes were any time he was onscreen. And I’m not the least bit apologetic. 😉
I’ve got 4 episodes left to go to finish Fight My Way and I can hardly make myself start a new episode! I’ve been watching the last 6 of the ones I watched previously 1 episode at a time, so reluctant to click “play” on the one that follows. “Why is that?” you may ask. I blame it all on my Park Seo-joon Swoon Syndrome.
For your viewing pleasure, Exhibit A
But truthfully, it’s not so much his physical perfection (though I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t a draw), but the candor and sincerity in his acting. He just imbues his character with so much pure decency that it almost hurts to watch him. I completely understand why the annoying ex-GF can’t let go of him (even after dumping him countless times for men with more $$), though anyone fool enough to value $$ over decency deserves nothing but the sh#theels of the world.
I’m also getting to the high stakes and mistakes part of the drama, particularly for the second couple’s story, so I’d like to savor the happy glow part (at least in my head) a little longer. But finish this one I will, if only to indulge in some PSJS and fangirl flailing.
Yes, I’m still watching shows currently on air, but so many that I generally don’t have open space while I’m waiting for a new episode. In fact, I’m ‘behind’ on a few of them!
Last night I watched the first 2 episodes of Stranger (aka Secret Forest) with Bae Doona and an actor I don’t know much about, Cho Seung-woo, and it ticks the right boxes for me – mystery, conspiracy, smart protagonists. I also watched the first episode of Circle with the spouse last week. He fell asleep, but I’m sufficiently intrigued by the cast and the different and fresh sci-fi angle, so I’m adding it to the list.
I’m furthest along in Ode to Joy 2, which must be wrapping up next week on Dramafever, and I’m still skipping most of the Ying-ying storyline (as well as plenty of Sheng-mei’s too). I really enjoy the Andie/Bao Yifan storyline, and the Xiao Qu/Dr Zhao (Wang Kai) bits too because they are the most natural. Wang Kai in particular is so perfectly at home acting with his ‘girlfriend’ that they no doubt have a million plus shippers.
I’ve also picked up Suspicious Partner and Fight My Way and enjoy them for what they are. By the way, how is Park Seo-joon so darn appealing? I have come to the conclusion that it’s the sincerity in his expression. He just seems so genuine and… pure… for want of a better description.
How about y’all?
