Fortunately, I’ve had a few days off for the Holy Week, so I got to finish this one. And honestly, I was ready for it to end because there were just too many episodes for my taste. They could’ve completed this 18 eps or so less, imho. That being said, I did like this drama! Some of the side characters got a wee bit more air time than I would’ve liked, but I read reviews where some were pretty invested in those side stories—-so I won’t complain, lol….
The hero—-I liked a lot. He was a thinking man, who measured and weighed situations and consequences most thoughtfully. He was quite fair, even though he dropped the ball, once or twice where his beloved was concerned. This man felt deeply though, and I found myself feeling right along with him.
I also liked the heroine, but there were more than a few moments where she got on my nerves, specifically in her 2nd life. She went from fierce and headstrong to weak and simpering, and that period lasted a bit too long for my taste too. It may have not really been that long, actually, but it felt like it. I liked her better when that “period” was over, but she still maintained some of those characteristics that were most annoying. And, I swear, if she said “Ye Hua” one more time, I was ready to throw her butt into the waters ruled by the North god! There was also a relationship, an important one imo, where she was pretty hands off and definitely should not have been, especially when the truth was revealed.
It’s a nice fantasy though, filled with villains and magic and mythical creatures…..and for Mark alone, certainly worth the watch!

Wow! Another 70, 000 yrs has passed and everyone still looks great! Lol! What is it with these 2nd Princes’ anyway!?!? Well, at least this one stands up for his woman, and is willing to die for lack of her love. That’s very admirable! The master in new form is a very cold—brrrrr—character! I can only attribute that to lack of his mother’s love. What cruel men these gods are, even Ye Hua’s father! How could he allow such a thing!!!

Bai Qian has grown so much from the early days, and has not deviated one bit from her devotion to her master. I can’t wait till the two meet again, and that cold heart of Ye Hua’s is melted. But again, the gods play cruel games with the fates of each other….

Xuan Nu is still a witch, and I’m sooooo looking forward to that comeuppance—-whenever it arrives! Karma, I’m sure, or I hope, is even sweeter in the spiritual realm???
I’m also liking the “wise” men of this drama. They seem to intervene at exactly the right time, and even manipulate the situation in a good way, of course.

Good drama, well written!!

This drama is non-stop action thus far, and we’ve got our heroine to thank for that, lol. I don’t understand why she isn’t severely reprimanded for her shenanigans, but I guess it’s because the master is so fond of her/him. If the 2nd prince of the Ghost realm, JinLing, wasn’t such a sniveling weakling, I wouldn’t mind the heroine falling for him. He really is a hottie too, but he’s all over the place with his emotions. I did like his pursual of her initially, but he’s so easily led with his defeatist attitude. Both he and Bai Qian’s childhood friend, Xuan Nu, got what they deserved so far, but I’m sure that they’re both far from done, especially Xuan Nu who is so blinded by her jealousy of Bai Qian.

I’m not seeing enough of the master so far, who’s been in seclusion thanks to the heroine’s high jinks, but his presence is most certainly felt when he makes an appearance.

There’s still so much going on that I’m confused by a few things. Sometimes I’m not sure if what I’m seeing is a flashback or not. Also time is moving by thousands of years very quickly. Like the speed of sound! Enjoying the heck out of it though! I look forward to it!
